Welcome to Jack Wilson's Legacy
Jack Wilson
Following my Grandfather, Uncle and Father-in-Law, in the year of 1970 I made the decision that would direct the remainder of my productive life. I decided to start building homes… This would be my life for nearly 50 years and my plan for even more decades. Our company has completed approximately 2000 projects during the last 50 years and we have built many of our customers their third home.
Early in the building process I decided to work toward a more energy conserving home and that has led to the current specifications that we live by. The House Jack Built has R-20 Exterior Walls, R-50 Attic Insulation, Seer 16 Air Conditioning, Aflue 95% Heating unit, Rinnai Tankless Water Heaters for large savings, Polyseal for air infiltration and more. We use taller ceilings in the gathering areas of the home to allow for warmer air to strata and thus making the living area more comfortable with less air conditioning.
Our Designs work is done internally and is part of our service package to our Clients. Each home is designed to make best use of the building site and to maximize the views from as many different points as possible. If there is a view , we will make sure it is enhanced with a design that maximizes it from as many directions as possible. All this flexibility in the design allows for the utmost in energy conservation and unbelievable access to the very best views.
We welcome the opportunity to meet with you and explain our building program which lays out all the processes in a way that takes the guesswork out of building. We are committed to honesty and openness and work with our customers as a partner to get the most value for the money you spend on your home. I believe we have an obligation to give back to our communities and do so in many ways. I have served as President of the Homebuilders Association of Greater Little Rock, President of the Arkansas Homebuilders Association, Life Director in the National Association of Homebuilders. I have served since 1978 as Sherwood Arkansas Board Member and Chairman of both the Public Facilities Board and The Public Building Authority. I
have served on the board of directors for Arkansas Enterprises for the Developmentally Disabled,Inc. since 1971 and served as President for the past 12 years. Our building company was selected by ABC TV to build an Extreme Makeover Home Addition in Bigelowe Arkansas. It was a very rewarding experience, building a new home for Job McCulley who had battled cancer then a lung disease which destroyed both lungs, requiring a double lung transplant all starting at a very young age. I am happy to say Job is doing a great job battling the issues and is living life as a young man such as him would deserve to do. We worked with a wonderful family and community to create the home in 4 1/2 days of actual construction and 1700 wonderful volunteers who worked around the clock to make this happen. See the episode on our website as well as behind the scenes to see the actual build.
